HOUSTON, TX, September 2, 2009 – HCA Affiliated East Houston Regional Medical Center (EHRMC) will be hosting the first annual Girl Talk: Women’s Health Fair on Saturday, September 12th from 9:00am-11:30am at 13111 East Freeway, Houston. The event will provide women of all ages the opportunity to get straight answers to important women’s health questions as part of EHRMC’s ongoing effort to inform, educate, and empower women throughout the North Channel and greater Houston area.
In support of this educational campaign, East Houston will conduct four free seminars: Baby Safety, General Women’s Health, Gynecological and Sexual Health for Young Women (Ages 14-20), and What to Expect When You’re Expecting. Each seminar is open to the public and will be presented by a physician or staff member from the Women’s Services department of East Houston.
During the fair, attendees will also enjoy FREE health screenings including cholesterol and glucose, blood pressure, and body mass index. In addition, representatives from local businesses will staff booths and distribute health information plus lots of “give-aways” including scrapbooking, dental exams, and much more.
