Reliable health information and education is the foundation for a lifetime of good health. It is the mission of the H2U organization to understand the unique health needs of individuals 50 and older and provide them with valuable information, resources and experiences. Incorporated in 1982, H2U serves more than 200,000 members at some 100 hospitals and medical facilities across the United States.

At the local level, East Houston Regional Medical Center offers retired or working baby-boomers in the East Houston area and surrounding communities an enjoyable setting for fellowship, volunteer opportunities, education and companionship. Members also enjoy numerous benefits and services, such as educational activities, health screenings, seminars, travel and an array of discounts. Examples of H2U Health programs include:

• Screenings
• New health and fitness programs
• Physician lectures and chats
• Lifestyle demonstrations (cooking, yoga, etc.)
• Health Fairs

With a membership of more than 1,200, the group is large enough to offer members the chance to meet new people with similar interests, while giving its members individual VIP treatment and the chance to interact in smaller groups that fit into their schedule--monthly breakfast and lunch meetings are available for retirees and bi-monthly dinner meetings are available for the convenience of our members who work. Our H2U staff is dedicated to meeting the needs and enhancing the lifestyles of members.

What is the Cost?
H2U membership is $15 per year, $30 for a two-year membership or two, one-year memberships for individuals in the same household and $150 for a lifetime membership to the organization.
